Independent learning

This week for my personal learning project I decided to explore a few of the generators and bots that are out there on the internet. There are some nifty ones that I think students (and teachers) may enjoy exploring. Thanks to the exposure of the Daily Create exercises I have been able to learn about the mini programs created to do very interesting specific functions.

Mugshot generator

This generator allows you to take a photograph, date and label a “mug shot” for your personal entertainment. It is a lot of fun and easy to use, you only need a web cam to get started.Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Logo Generator

The logo generator allows the creator to write whatever sort of label is desired. There are fonts, colors and GIP graphics that can be added to give the design your personal touch. Easy to use and fun.Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Noun Generator

A noun generator may not sound that entertaining but it can be a way to practice adding nouns to sentences or paragraphs. A little creative writing experiment.Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Your random nouns are:

    1. District
    1. Fringe
    1. Ice-cream
    1. Notebook
    1. Partner
    1. Pencil
    1. Price
    1. Proof-reader
    1. Reindeer

GIF Generator

This GIF generator is a very easy to use program that allows the addition of up to 800 frames to the creation. Image speed and picture size can both be changes to accommodate the needs of a project. Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Signature generator

The signature generator can be used to create an animated signature, a smooth signature or a pixelated signature. Different colors of text are available, as well as different fonts and features.Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Shakespeare Insult Generator

This generator makes an endless number of insults that can be used in writing projects and even as a Daily Create! Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Audio Experiment

This was a great daily create as well. Type in a message and use audio samples from popular music, movies and tv etc… to create a CLASH of sounds.Symbol-thumbs-up-clip-art-at-vector-clip-art-2

Online Tone Generator

Choose the frequency of the tone and press play. This generates a clear tone in the waveforms: sine, square, sawtooth and triangle. This could be useful for an effect in projects. I just liked it because I’m a music teacher and it made sound and changed frequency.

There are numerous generators and bots available to perform many common as well as unusual functions.  The next time you want to create something special check out the following links.

    1. I have really enjoyed finding sites and apps that I think my students will be able to use to create things for projects and for fun.
